In 1776, Thomas Paine brought "Common Sense" to America. Since then, we have steadily lost the ability to employ common sense in many situations. Media, technology and politics (among other sources) have brought us into the "my way or the highway" age. Compromise is a dirty word, rational thinking is an endangered species. Common sense is just not as common as it should be. Think about these examples (both good and bad) and imagine what society could be like if common sense thinking prevailed.
